Trinity County Life Support

Trinity County Life Support (TCLS) is a non–profit, public benefit corporation established in 1993. TCLS provides advanced life support ambulance service to a large portion of Trinity County. Two ambulances are staffed 24/7, stationed in Hayfork and Weaverville, California.

Our mission is to provide the highest level of Advanced Life Support, Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical Services to our community and assist in the education of our local fire departments, schools, and the general public on health and safety issues.

Our name suggests we are a County agency. This is not the case.

Prior to TCLS, ambulance service was provided in a number of formats, including private, for–profit and hospital–based models. It has always been difficult to sustain adequate ambulance coverage in this rural, frontier region.

Non–profits exist for a reason. We provide services that cannot be delivered with an obvious commercial return.

Trinity County Life Support is dedicated to pre–hospital patient care. It is our enduring goal to preserve and enhance advanced life support ambulance capabilities in Northern Trinity County.
