Emergencies Happen

Trinity County Life Support responds to an average of 1,400 emergency calls per year. Staffed 24/7 providing advanced life support care and transport, medical personnel are dedicated to high–quality patient care and safe operations, maintaining competence in life–saving skills, and providing an essential service with professionalism and compassion.

EMTs and Paramedics are well versed in basic life support skills, the first priority in any emergency. In addition, Paramedics maintain advanced cardiac, medical and trauma life support skills and certification, including 12–lead cardiac diagnostics and critical care scopes of practice. TCLS works side by side with fire/rescue, law enforcement, air ambulance crews, and Trinity Hospital for true team delivery of emergency health care.

Air ambulances are an integral partner in the care of the critically ill or injured, especially effective in this remote area. While air ambulances are limited in severe weather and the thick smoke and haze of large wildfires, TCLS responds under all conditions—with an outstanding safety record.

Benefits of Ground Ambulance Membership

Safe and effective ground ambulance transport is an essential service for Trinity County residents and visitors. The TCLS membership is offered as a means to support continued quality ambulance service while preventing out–of–pocket expense for patients and their families. Your membership allows any insurance or government program reimbursement to be accepted as payment in full.

If you require our services for a medical emergency, no out–of–pocket expense will be incurred. Insurance and/or Medicare will be billed, and the remaining balance will be written off. If you are covered by Medi–Cal, you do not need to subscribe for you are fully covered.

TCLS is a 911 ambulance provider. Covered services include 911 emergencies and physician ordered inter-facility (hospital to hospital) transfers. Pre–scheduled medically necessary transfers are covered by membership, subject to the availability of extra staff. TCLS, a community resource, makes every effort to meet the needs of individuals.
