Trinity County Life Support, a private non-profit corporation, has been providing quality ambulance service in Northern Trinity County since our formation in 1993.  Trinity County Life Support's mission is to provide the highest level of Advanced Life Support and Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical Services to our community and to assist in the education and training of our local fire departments, schools, and the general public on health and safety issues.  We provide advanced life support ambulance service 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to most of Trinity County's residents from our stations in Weaverville and Hayfork.  We also teach CPR and First Aid classes in the community, schools, and workplace.

To better serve the  community, we have formed a membership service, the Life Support Association.  Ambulance service is very expensive and most insurance companies do not cover 100% of the cost.  LSA members pay an annual fee for single, family or group membership.

When an LSA member utilizes our ambulance service, Trinity County Life Support will bill any insurance, Medicare or Medicaid and accept their payment as payment in full.  If a member is uninsured or the services are not covered by insurance, the entire amount is absorbed by TCLS.

Services covered under the LSA membership include 911 emergencies and physician ordered non-emergency services, including pre-authorized interfacility transfers within our service area.  Non-emergent transports are subject to the availability of an extra crew, as our first responsibility is to 911 emergency service.  Additionally, non-emergency services are subject to a 30-day waiting period for pre-existing conditions.

The membership dues and donations are very much appreciated, and help TCLS in continuing to provide up to date equipment and training to our crews and staff.  Donations made to TCLS are tax deductible.  LSA membership is not a form of insurance and only covers TCLS services.
